Andy McCloud, CPA
Controller
Andy has 15 years of experience working in finance and accounting. He began his career spending several years working in public accounting as an auditor before leaving Arthur Andersen for Asurion, the leading provider of wireless insurance and service contract solutions. At Asurion, he served as Assistant Controller and was heavily involved in projects with IT and operations. Especially relevant to Meridian's focus is Andy's experience at Symbion Healthcare. At Symbion, he was responsible for the financial reporting and treasury management of more than fifty surgical facilities. In this role, he helped develop investing and borrowing strategies custom tailored to benefit each facility. He has a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Kevin Dowdy
Vice President, Managed Care
Kevin has been working in Healthcare since 1997. During his 13 plus years in healthcare he has performed managed care contracting for independent ambulatory surgery centers, joint venture ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, and surgical specialty hospitals. Kevin has performed these roles in his own consulting firm, United Surgical Partners International, and HCA. In addition to managed care contracting, he has experience in the areas of contract analysis, revenue cycle management, budgeting and forecasting, and policy implementation for multiple facilities and territories.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and Finance.
Amanda Austin, CPA
Senior Accountant
Before joining Meridian, Amanda was an auditor for three years in public accounting at KPMG, LLP, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax, and advisory services. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master's of Accountancy degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Ginger Hickox, CPA
Senior Accountant
Prior to joining Meridian, Ginger was an auditor for two years in public accounting at KPMG, LLP, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax, and advisory services. For five years prior, before beginning her career in the field of accounting, she provided counseling and placement services at Youth Villages, a non-profit organization specializing in assisting families and children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. Ginger is a Certified Public Accountant.
David Babula, CPA
Senior Accountant
For two years prior to joining Meridian, David served as an auditor for KPMG, LLP, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax, and advisory services. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Western Kentucky University and a Master's of Accountancy degree from Vanderbilt University.
